About Me My name is Dennis Burke. I am originally from Cloonacool in County Sligo in the west of Ireland. I studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Limerick from 1996. Following this I took up employment in Dublin in the aircraft maintenance industry as a technical support engineer. At the time of writing this, I am an EASA Part 21 Compliance Verification Engineer in the Cabin Interiors field. During the past few years I have become heavily involved with learning more about the men who crewed the aircraft discussed in these pages with an idea of creating a lasting online memorial to their war time deeds for their respective countries. So many of them lost their lives at such an early age I felt that it is only right to remember them, no matter the flag under which they fought.

A big thank you my little crew Joe, Agnes and Cillian who are preventing me from doing as much research as I used to but I'm sure the airmen wouldn't have minded that.

And in special memory of my father and brother, Joseph and Noel Burke, gone but not forgotten.
